We are in such a strange time in this world right now, but also a beautiful time having so many people come together. I want to do everything I can to help aid those whose weddings have had to be postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19. My heart goes out to you as I can understand how heartbreaking it can be to have to move a wedding, the most wonderful day of your life, to a future, uncertain date after months of planning. The important thing to remember is that we are not alone in this. So many couples and wedding businesses have been greatly impacted by this unforeseen pandemic, but we are all in this TOGETHER. We will get through it, and I want to help you as much as I am able! :)
As a courtesy to both existing and new clients, I feel I can best serve you at this time by offering to create a "Change-the-Date" card for you for no service fee (just pay the cost of materials). A "Change-the-Date" card will basically be another card you send to your guests letting them know your wedding has been postponed to a later date, updating your guests on what your plans are for a future wedding. As far as work process goes, the same rules still apply—I will estimate the cost based on what you are looking for and/or get a quote, and then work on up to 3 revisions for you. I will use your invitation or Save the Date design to formulate the design for your Change-the-Date, to keep in sync with your wedding aesthetic. I would also be happy to hand-address any envelopes or postcards for you for an additional fee, but again, the card design itself will be free, just pay for the materials :)
If you feel there are other ways I can serve you in this time, I would be more than happy to try to accommodate! Please do not hesitate to reach out, I want to be here for you.
For any current clients—if you feel it’s best, we can reschedule to make sure we are keeping you and your loved ones safe. I’m happy to get you next steps on that. I’d be delighted to transfer your retainer to a future event date and reschedule for a time that works better for you and your loved ones.
Please stay safe everyone as we navigate through such a strange season, and just remember that we're in this together, so let's be kind and help each other! :)
